What’s it like?

Foxhole bay is a beautiful secluded cove. Just down the cliff from the National Trust car park at Southgate (less than 10 minutes from Parc-Le-Breos B&B), it is a quiet and picturesque bay which is often deserted - even on some summer days. Its close proximity to the good cafes and shops at Southgate make it an ideal place to spend a day sunbathing. A 20 minute walk west will bring you to Pobbles beach, nestled behind Three Cliffs, while a 5 minute walk to the east will bring you to the rocky and picturesque Hunts bay.

A good safe bathing beach.

The cliffs which enclose this cove all fish well for bass at low until mid tide. Where the sand runs up into the rocky gullies on the outer cliffs can be quite good for dabs in particular, and may yield plaice and the occasional sole.

Not a surf beach.
